Edge Ice Arena
July/30 – August/2 2020
This year Edge Ice Arena will once again come alive for our Dawg Bowl Charity Tournament to benefit adult hockey players facing catastrophic illness or injury.
This year we will have 44 teams in seven divisions battling it out on the ice to take home a Dawg Bowl Trophy and bragging rights.
Many past and present NHL players will once again be participating in the tourney’s top division.
All games are open to the public and free of charge.
Our goal this weekend is for you to have the best hockey experience possible.
All games are open to the public and free of charge. Game Schedule
This year’s platinum division includes several current and former NHL pros along with top division players as well. We anticipate two Hobey Baker winners, six former DU captains and upwards of 30 current and former NHL players.
Our top team, the “Mainline West Top Dawgs” play their first game at 7:45 pm on Friday.
Survivor Game — Saturday 8/1 – 3:00 pm – East Rink— Don’t Miss It!
Last year’s Dawg Bowl Survivor Game was played in honor of the Humboldt Broncos, a Canadian junior hockey team playing in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
Our Survivor Game is the highlight of the entire tournament and is made up of hockey players who have suffered traumatic injury or illness and have come together to share not only a love of the game but also support one another and share their own experiences. Their stories are ones of struggle, courage and support.
This year, we offer our unwavering support to all of those that have served our country and honor all that have sacrificed so much to allow us our freedom. As a tribute to our unsung heroes the Survivors will be wearing military themed jerseys this year.
The game is set for Saturday, June 22nd at 3:00 pm. We are incredibly proud to share the “Bronze Star with Valor” recipient, Jason Shepperly, who will be dropping the ceremonial first puck in what is sure to be a very emotional moment.
