Luke Diagnosed with a Mass In his Brain
Please help the Ciolli family in this time of need. Luke, their second-oldest son, Fairbanks Ice Dogs player and West Point commit has been diagnosed with a mass in his brain and will be having surgery.
Every Parents Worst Nightmare
Luke has not been feeling well for the past two plus weeks. He went into the ER for the second time in a week because he was just not getting better and his doctor said to go there for additional testing. His biggest complaints were headache and vomiting. They drew blood and did a CT Scan. Every parents worse nightmare came true. The doctor told the family he had a mass in his brain. They then went on to do a MRI to get a better look at it. They are fairly certain it is benign, but of course until it’s taken out and tested… Luke and family won’t know.
Prayers and Best Wishes
After a visit to the neurosurgeon, Luke will have surgery to remove a fluid cyst and a hard mass located on the cerebellum in the back right side. When everything goes smoothly, he hopes to rejoin the Ice Dogs in Fairbanks after the new year. Please keep Luke and the Ciolli family in your prayers. Let’s rally to help this young man and his family. #hockeystrong
