An Unwelcome Diagnosis

Robb Olexin, a longtime supporter of DAWG Nation and a pillar in the hockey community, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and is fortunate to be receiving the best care possible through the Mayo Clinic, only an hour away from his home.  Robb is currently on a leave of absence from work at Becker Arena Products. His benefits are assisting with his medical costs; however, the long-term impact will require the need for some financial assistance. While the long-term outlook is unknown, we all know that Robb is a fighter and let’s show him he is not alone. Please join us in this private fundraising opportunity to assist with his long-term medical expenses and some of the cost for his family and close friends, both near and far, to visit and assist with his care.

Part of the Becker Family

Robb is a special person at Becker Arena Products in terms of his personal approach outside of the daily business grind. He is a person who places others first before himself and does not like to draw attention to himself. He is often volunteering his time to work with organizations and with people who are in need and less fortunate. Robb is a very giving person who does not want to let people down.

Part of the DAWG Nation Family

Robb and Becker Arena Products have been working with DAWG Nation Hockey Foundation for years in planning a potential ice arena designed for everyone. Robb has been involved in the project and donated many hours of his personal time as well his heart and soul to the Foundation as a true supporter.  Robb is a close friend of the entire DAWG Nation Team and is an incredible ambassador of the organization. He never hesitates to offer his assistance in any way, like when he flew out to Colorado for the DAWG Nation Winter Classic Pond Hockey Tournament presented by DREP. The tournament needed a seasoned Zamboni driver and Robb was on a plane to save the day, helping to make the event a rousing success.

Your donation will help Robb Olexin, who DAWG Nation has selected as a grant recipient from its charitable class. Your contribution is made with the understanding that DAWG Nation has complete control and administration over the use of all donated funds in pursuit of its charitable purposes and in support of its charitable class.

  1. Stay strong Robb!! You are truly missed and there is a big void in the office without you here. Yes, you sell a lot of stuff, but more importantly, your presence is missed. I miss you popping into my cube and seeing how I’m doing, always willing to help me out. I miss the golf talk too, with your stories (tall tales, jk!) and advice.

You’re in my thoughts and prayers and you have many others thinking of you. We only went golfing together once, so you need to hang in there and get better so we can do it again! You’re a great coworker, friend, and human in general, so you have a lot of good karma coming your way.

    Get well soon, my friend

    Dan Jacob

  2. Robb,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. As I tackled computer issues for Becker Arena Products, you helped me understand how individual projects tie into the sport of hockey.
    Get well!

  3. Robb, it’s a testament to your character that after 40 some odd years I remember you and what a great guy you are. You have a smile that lights up a room and I have such great memories of being at the Gerry Murphy and you there making everyone smile.

  4. You got this, Robbie. It’ll be a tough journey ahead, but you have all the love and support you’ll need to keep you strong and nourished. So happy Redshaw is able to be there with you. Thinking of you here in the Great White North and sending all our love and best wishes.

  5. Dear Robby O,

I’m sending my positive vibes, love and strength and pray for you every day. Stay strong, fight hard, and know you have a huge tribe behind you. You’ve got this, my friend. XO
