Rally at the Blackbird

WIth the help of Garrett Ladd, all of Dave’s teammates, family, friends, and supporters are invited to the Blackbird Public House on Tuesday, March 8 to cheer on Dave and the Avs. The Avs take on the New Jersey Devils at 5:00pm. Gathering begins at 4:30pm. If we can meet our financial goal quickly, we might even be able to break out the big check! Dawg Nation will double any donation up to $5,000. Garrett and the the Blackbird will also kick back 15% of food and beverage from our rally night to support Dave. Great food, beer, the Avs and GIVING BACK…

A Trip to the ICU

Dave sustained a head injury during an Over 40 hockey game. He went into the net awkwardly and hit the goal post with his head. His teammates watched him carefully after the game and determined he was in a lot of pain, and had an ambulance called for him. He spent a couple nights in the Intensive Care Unit due to a bruised brain and bleeding and a week in the hospital overall. The medical team advised him to stay home from work for at least a month.

Always a Gentleman

Dave recently reurned to the ice after recovering from hip surgery and was so excited to re-join his Apex over 40 hockey team. Dave is described as a great guy, so positive, and a treasure to have sitting on the bench next to you. Whether you are playing with him or head to head against him, he is fair and competitive as it comes, always a true Gentleman.

  1. I agree, Dave a good guy. Just one note. It looks like it is at Blackbird, not Ritual tonight. See you there.
